Google's first flagship phone Pixel in 2016 had received extensive success for its features like stellar rear camera, Google Assistant and the boundless, uncompressed photograph stockpiling. The features were initially compared to iPhone series. But, ultimately the craze started to fade in competition to other Android devices. The hefty price and dull design of the handset were cited to be the reason. So, Google this time has buckled up to push the standard of its upcoming handsets to another level by imbibing some of the best features. Though nothing much has been confirmed about the specifications but it is rumored to have these top five features which will be insane.
- Curvy design with OLED display
Expansive, bended designs seem to be the current year's huge cell phone slant. We have already loved the edge-to-edge display of LG G6 and twisted edges of Samsung Galaxy S8. Even, the iPhone 8 is also foreseen to highlight similar arrangement of twisted OLED screen under the glass cover. Official sources revealed that Google has inked a $880 deal with LG Display for the supply of flexible OLED displays for its upcoming Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. So we can expect stylish Google handset models this year.
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
The latest Google models are likely to be launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Its predecessors, Pixel and Pixel XL had the Snapdragon 831 chipset.
- 8GB RAM
This is huge! If rumors are to be believed, the internet giant will launch its latest handset with a mammoth 8GB RAM. Its other variant will have 6GB RAM. Pixel and Pixel XL had 4GB RAM earlier.
- Android 8
Rumors suggest that Google has moved to the ANDROID O working structure. So it is likely to declare its Pixel 2 as the principle phone to dispatch with Android 8.0. Taking all things into account, there is not much we consider Android 8, but instead, it will be codenamed Android 'O'.
- Water Resistance
Google Pixel 2 is expected to be water and dust resistance unlike like previous models. Almost all the top brand smartphones are equipping their handsets with this feature for protection. Google is also likely to follow the trend to match up with its counterparts.
Besides all these, the Google Pixel 2 is expected to have a dual camera setup which will deliver best low-light performance and no headphone jack.
Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are rumored to be codenamed Muskie and Walleys. As Google had released its first handset in early October, it is expected that Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be unveiled in the final quarter of the year. The price of the handsets is yet to be announced and expected at 2500 AED.
