Apple iOS 12 Release Date, Specifications, News and Rumors

Now that we have iOS 11.3 for the iPhone and iPad, the next big update that everyone is waiting for is iOS 12. Apple will likely to debut this update in June at WWDC event, California. Normally, in this event, the tech giant normally announces major upgrades including upcoming iOS, WatchOS, and macOS. We are still not confirmed of what the upcoming iOS 12 is bringing out. Since the debut is heading nearer there are several rumors out in the air that specify few details of the major upcoming upgrade.

As usual, the new software always brings in some exciting features and few will be unexpected. The most popular iPhone X runs on the iOS11. Probably, the upcoming iPhones of 2018 may come in with the new iOS 12. Few rumors suggest that Apple is mainly focusing on improving quality rather than adding in extra features for iOS 12.

Though the Apple announces the major iOS 12 upgrade in June 2018, it is likely to be available worldwide in September 2018. After the WWDC conference, Apple is planning to make the public beta version available for few selected users. These few beta users will get the chance to test out the new iOS even before its official launch. As for the compatibility, rumors claim that iOS 12 may support few older iPhones including iPhone 5S and few iPads like iPad Air, iPad Mini 2. Before iOS 12, Apple will release another update iOS 11.4 which would probably be the last update.

The Apple’s message about the next big iOS upgrade is “iOS12 Just works”. This indirectly hints us the Apple focus on reliability rather than including new features. The iOS 11 wasn’t free from bugs which made the users annoyed. Apple has rolled out updates later to fix the bugs, but the issue of reliability still exists with the iOS 11. Considering this, Apple has set its priority on performance and reliability. This doesn’t mean that the update will not have any extra features. Though not so exciting, it will add some basic features. Firstly, the most anticipated Dark mode is likely to appear in iPhones with iOS 12 update. On iPad, users could find the user profiles option.

It is even speculated that the update brings in music streaming upgrade with iOS 12. It would come up with a fresh Animojis and is tipped to release few universal applications, especially for iPads. The Always-on display feature that Samsung has been offering is likely to debut in iPhones. This would be something really useful as it allows to find notifications and other details without unlocking the device. We expect the iOS 12 to have a new wallpaper particularly a dynamic wallpapers. Furthermore, iOS 12 may also offer better parental controls. It provides a new Digital Health Tool from which parents can monitor the screen time of the kids.
