iPhone lovers buckle up, as we bring you the latest launch date of the upcoming iPhone handsets! Apple iPhone's 10th-anniversary edition with iPhone 8 moniker has been wrapped with a slew of speculations ever since it was hinted by the global tech giant. Almost every day the internet is flooded with some or the other updates regarding its rumored launch date, specifications, and price. However, as per the latest tip, the highly anticipated iPhone flagship will receive a September release. Earlier, it was rumored that the launch of iPhone 8 has been delayed and pushed to either October or November due to manufacturing troubles. Brushing off the rumor, it has now apparently been confirmed that the premium handset will be unveiled in September. Yes guys, save the date!
Along with iPhone's 10th-anniversary release, the giant tech company will also unveil an upgraded variant of iPhone 7, dubbed as iPhone 7S. While iPhone 7S will undergo some developments from its predecessor, the next-gen iPhone 8 will receive an entire structure change, tucked with some brilliant never-seen-before features. You can check our blog 'iPhone 8 Might Be Getting This Never-Seen-Before Feature' for a detailed preview.
A recently leaked video of the handset had hit the internet revealing a vivid 360-degree view of the device. Based on the tidbits, Apple iPhone 8 will come with a wide 5.8 inches edge-to-edge OLED display framed in an all-glass and stainless steel design. This will be for the first time that Apple will bring out a huge screen size device with curved edges. Samsung had introduced the curved OLED edge-to-edge concept in its latest Galaxy S8 series. The concept has become the current trend as most of the top brands including Apple itself, have been adapting it on their smartphones.
The video rendered a vertical dual rear camera setup with no fingerprint sensor. There is no physical home button or Touch ID sensor on the front as well. This indicates that the premium iPhone 8 could have the fingerprint sensor underneath the display. Moreover, there are almost no bezels around the screen, giving it a sleek and elegant look. iPhone 8 appears to be thicker than its predecessors, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus by measuring approximately 143.5 x 70.9 x 7.7 mm. The other two previous handsets measured 7.1 mm and 7.3 mm, respectively. The handset will also receive features like wireless charging, Iris scanner, and water/dust resistant.
As discussed earlier, iPhone 8 is expected to have a 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and be powered by Apple's next-gen processor (the A10X or A11).
People can place pre-orders for iPhone 8 in September and the delivery of the handset will begin from October.
