Apple iPhone SE2 Rumored To Launch In May Without Headphone Jack

The successor of iPhone SE is likely to appear in May 2018. Recent rumors suggest few hardware specifications of iPhone SE 2. According to the latest reports, the Apple iPhone SE 2 may not get the 3.5mm headphone jack as in the original iPhone SE. It further states that the alleged handset will carry the same design as its predecessor and may additionally have Touch ID feature. Furthermore, rumors claim that the device may also ship in with the wireless charging support.

Apple iPhone SE 2 Design and Specs

Though not confirmed, the iPhone SE 2 in Dubai will sport either an aluminum chassis or has an all-glass design. The possibility of the all-glass design will enable the device to support wireless charging. Apart from this, the second-edition of iPhone SE may be powered by A10 Fusion chip as in iPhone 7 thus ensuring the device to support HEVC and HEIF media formats. The A10 processor is said to be 40 percent faster than the A9 chipset. The processor is coupled by a 2GB RAM and 32GB/128GB of internal storage.

As in iPhone 5, the upcoming handset gets a 4-inches compact display but without a 3.5mm headphone jack. It could feature an edge-to-edge display as in iPhone X with a home button on the front end. The Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone SE are the only smartphones featuring headphone jack. And these are likely to disappear in the near future. However, this removal of headphone jack will add an added feature of water and dust resistance. Moreover, the tech giant may keep the iPhone SE 2 Dubai price lower. So that the device will be a more powerful option at an affordable price range.

If rumors are to be true, then this upcoming cheaper iPhone SE 2 might appear at WWDC event that is scheduled for June 4, 2018. Apart from the iPhone SE 2, we could probably see three more new iPhones in 2018. All the three iPhones are variants of iPhone X. One will be the direct successor of iPhone X, another iPhone is iPhone X Plus that holds the biggest display ever and the iPhone X with LCD screen rather than OLED. Since nothing is clear at the moment, we need to wait until the official announcement of upcoming iPhones 2018.
