The wait is almost over! Asus fans will get a chance to have a glimpse at the Asus ZenFone 5 series smartphones. The Taiwan manufacturer has made it official that they are all set to launch the handset at Mobile World Conference in February 2018. Ahead of the launch, few images of the upcoming mobile were surfaced online.
As per the report from Winfuture, the pictures were picked from the manufacturer’s manual showcase the upcoming ZenFone 5 handset to have a model name X00PD. As for the design, there are no major changes from the old Asus ZenFone model. It features the rounded corners with antenna lines on both top and bottom. There is even a vertically positioned dual rear camera as in iPhone X with an LED flash.
The fingerprint sensor along with the Asus logo takes its place at the center of the rear end. In between those two speakers, there resides a micro USB port at the bottom. The 3.5mm headphone jack is placed on the top end. On the front end, it sports a 5.7-inches display with 18:9 aspect ratio. As for the technical specs, the device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with a 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed up by a 4000mAh battery.
Furthermore, another model named as Asus X00QD has recently received a Wi-Fi Alliance certification. It is rumored to come out of the box as the Asus ZenFone 5 Max. It may run on the Android 8.0 Oreo and as per the certification, it may feature dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi support.
Apart from this model, Asus is reported to launch few more devices in the Asus ZenFone 5 series in MWC 2018. These models tend to be a basic variant Zenfone 5, the Max model- Zenfone 5 Max and a selfie-centric model- ZenFone 5 Lite. Recently Asus launched Asus Zenfone Pro Max M1 in Dubai.
