You Can Also Wirelessly Charge your iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

The wireless charging made its debut this year with the launch of iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. The previous iPhones don't support the wireless charging, but the iPhone and iPhone 7 Plus can be charged via wireless charge pad. And for that, you need to purchase some extra accessories.

Firstly we have to get a case to receive the wireless charge signal. iPhone 8 comprises of an AirPower technology which is a special kind of a chip that is missing in the iPhone 7.

However, though the iPhone 7 includes the special chip still it will not be able to power itself by the wireless charging.

The handsets which have got the feature of wireless charging have a glass or plastic back. Whereas the iPhone 7 has a metallic back which is not suitable for a wireless charging plate.

So in the case of iPhone, we have to use a special kind of case. The most popular one is Mophie Charge Force case which will allow the transmitters for both the Qi and PMA wireless charging standards.

If you wish to purchase an affordable charging case for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus which supports a single standard, then you should definitely go for Qi wireless charging and not PMA.

You can even buy wireless charging Qi pad from YooTech and Antye which will be less in price than Mophie Charge Force. The best wireless charging case which also contains a battery built-in is Mophie that includes the Juice Pack Air.

The case will charge the iPhone’s battery first and the will power the extra 2525 mAh battery in the case which will easily support up to 27 hours of extra use. The only disadvantage is that a wireless charging case will be heavier than a standard one.

Currently, you can buy Belkin’s Boost Up Pad from Apple online store and use for the iPhone 7’s wireless charging. The Cupertino Company’s AirPower is still under process and will most likely be released in 2018.

The Belkin Boost Up pad is available for Apple and Samsung smartphones. Point to be noted that Belkin’s Samsung version of charging pad is more powerful than of Apple’s that too at the same price. The Samsung one offers a maximum output of 15W instead of 7.5W and supports both PMA and Qi.

You can also try the Anker PowerTouch 5W charge pad and will work in the same way with the iPhone 7 with a 5W receiver, however, it does not support a fast charger. It has got a tough rubbery surface on which you keep your phone. And below you will find a rubber ring for stability and a carbon fiber effect on the sides.
