So by this, we can interpret the degree of competitiveness between the two giant companies.

But Galaxy S8 has a large curved display of 5.8 inches with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, secured by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is IP68 certified. So the curved display gives an ultra-modern and stylish look to the device.

Let us inform you that this is the first time that iPhone will be opting for AMOLED display for which it had ordered 70 million OLED panels to Samsung but as per some sources Apple will have only 3-4 million units by the launch day.

The handset iPhone 8 will be IP67 certified which means the smartphone if dunks in water then can easily stay in the water for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter whereas Galaxy S8 can stay at a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

You will also have a special feature named as ‘Iris scanner' in Galaxy S8. The specialty of ‘Iris scanner' is it lets you lock or unlock your phone just by detecting your face or eyes. The Touch-ID sensor is placed at the back end of the phone.

Whereas iPhone 8, as per some leaks which surfaced the internet a few days back will not have the finger print scanner at all.

In this segment, we can see that Samsung Galaxy S8 is ahead of iPhone 8.

RAM and Storage:

Samsung Galaxy S8 runs on a whopping 4GB RAM which ensures a smooth performance of the smartphone. It has the internal storage capacity of 64GB which can be expanded up to 256GB.

Whilst iPhone 8 has three internal storage variants of 32, 128 and 256 GB with a common of 3GB RAM. However, the option of memory card slot is absent in iPhone 8.

So in this case also we can see Galaxy S8 is leading ahead of iPhone 8.

OS and Processor:

iPhone 8 will operate by iOS 11 and is chipped by Apple A11. Samsung Galaxy S8 operates on Android 7.0 Nougat and the EMEA variant is chipped by Exynos 8895 Octa. And the version of Galaxy S8 which is distributed in USA & China runs on Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835.

Here is a little twist in the story, so far Galaxy S8 outperformed iPhone 8 but in this category, iPhone 8 wins because of it is tipped with the latest Apple A11 which renders a buttery and swift performance of the handset.

The camera of Galaxy S8 roots a primary camera of 12MP with an aperture of f/1.7 and LED flash. And the secondary camera houses an 8MP camera with f/1.7 aperture.

iPhone 8 renders a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and quad-LED flash. The secondary camera roots a 7MP snapper with f/2.2 aperture.

iPhone 8 captures bright and colorful images but Samsung Galaxy S8 stands out when it comes to clicking pictures in any light conditions. iPhone 8 has a better control over its lens as it houses a dual camera set up under its hood.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is powered by a Li-Ion 3000 mAh non-removable battery. It also got an option of fast battery charging (Quick charge 2.0).

iPhone 8 will also be energized by a non-removable battery and may also include a wireless charging feature. However, there is no fixed info that whether the accessory for the wireless charging will come along with the handset or come separately.

Sensitivity and Sensors:

iPhone 8 will continue with the Artificial Intelligence Assistant ‘Siri' and this is the very first time Samsung has introduced ‘Bixby' the artificial intelligent assistant who performs fine but is not great as ‘Siri'.

The finger print scanner is placed at the back side of the Samsung Galaxy S8 along with that ‘Iris Scanner' which lets you smoothly lock or unlock the smartphone by detecting their face or eyes.
