Dubai Soon to Get a Brand New Cycling Track Worth AED 67 Million

Dubai, the posh and affluent city has laid a long stretch of cycling and running track which will be ready by November 2017. This has been declared by the RTA.


The 32km long-running and cycling track is said to cover three prime areas of Dubai. Now, the city’s cycling route reach a total of 250km, which makes it be the biggest in Dubai.

The cost of the brand new environment-friendly cycling track is a whopping AED67 million and is a part of a master plan of RTA. This is also a great news for the health conscious people of Dubai.

RTA has released a statement in which they said, that the work is 90% complete around Mushrif, Mirdiff, and Al Khawaneej. More such tracks are going to be laid which will ready by 2021.

The Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, Mattar Al Tayer stated that the areas which are selected for the tracks were "based on several criteria highlighted by the population density, appeal to cyclists and pedestrians, sustainability of locations and the traffic safety level."
