Google Pixel 2 May be Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 Processor

Just a year back Google made its debut in the smartphone industry by unveiling Google Pixel. And this year again, the giant search engine will launch Google Pixel 2 later this year. As per some sources, Pixel 2 will be the first smartphone ever to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor has been still not made official, some reports say that the announcement will be done later this year.



Earlier it was said that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 836 processor but it was later expelled. The next generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset is expected to render blasting performance as compared to the existing mobile processor.

Both Snapdragon 835 and Snapdragon 836 will share the same combination. However, the Snapdragon 836 is going to work swiftly.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 was declared at CES in Las Vegas and will be built on a 10nm FinFET process. The latest processor is said to increase AR/VR experience, improves battery, and ensure fast internet connectivity.



Pixel 2 may be unveiled in October this year. Another variant Pixel 2 XL may also be announced at the same event. Google Pixel 2 smartphones have been codenamed ‘Muskie' and ‘Walleye'.

One of the flagship handsets will flaunt a 5.99 inch Quad HD bezel-free display. It will also root a 12MP main camera and a front camera of 8MP. The device will have an internal storage capacity of 128GB and a 4GB RAM.

As per sources, Pixel XL 2 may run on the brand new Android O. Both Pixel smartphones could be wrapped in metal and glass and they might ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack.
