HTC May Unveil A New Desire Phone At MWC 2018

HTC is likely to introduce a new member into the Desire series which is rumored to be HTC Desire 12. There are several rumors in the air about the upcoming smartphones from different manufacturers. Recently, the popular tipster Evan Blass posted on Twitter specifying that HTC is ready to announce a new flagship in Desire series.


As per the rumors, HTC is working on the new phone with a code name ‘Breeze’. Evan Blass refers to this device as HTC Desire 12 which could probably be an entry-level smartphone featuring 18:9 display. Since the alleged handset is ought to be an entry-level device, it may have a 5.5-inches display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a MediaTek chipset under the hood. As for memory, it could have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. It may be fuelled by a 2730mAh battery.

If rumors come out to be true, then along with this alleged HTC Desire 12, it may even introduce HTC U11 Eyes. Rumors even roll around about the HTC U12 which is in works. It could be unveiling this handset after the launch of HTC U11 Plus. Few speculations suggest that there are several chances for HTC to miss out the popular electronics show. Furthermore, HTC can reduce the number of releases in 2018, due to its worst revenue in 2017. It is trying to spend more time designing the next flagship with impressive features such as a 4K display.


At MWC 2018, Samsung may take full coverage with its Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. This is because it’s major competitors LG, HTC and Huawei may avoid major launches at this event. However, Sony and Nokia are expected to introduce new models. Sony could unveil Sony Xperia XZ Pro and Nokia is to unveil Nokia 9.
