Huawei P20: The Upcoming Huawei P-Series Flagship featuring Triple Cameras

Surprisingly, Huawei’s P10 successor will not be P11! In fact, the leaked rumours suggest the launch of three P-series smartphones in 2018 namely Huawei P20, P20 Plus and P20 Pro. The upcoming flagship is expected to be P20 which may be unveiled with upgraded CPU, triple camera setup and facial recognition technology. The Huawei P20 may also have an iPhone X like notch.

Huawei P20: Technical specifications

According to the Charts leaked on Weibo account, the three devices sport bezel-less design, and a horizontal camera setup. The fingerprint sensor takes up the same place and display screen covers almost entire front end. The top end of the handset features a notch design to accommodate sensors, front shooter and an earpiece.

Rumors claim that the Huawei P20 and its plus variant features AI based Kirin 970 processor. On the other end, the Huawei P20 Pro will have an upgraded and more powerful Kirin 975 processor. These three P-series smartphones will be paired by 6GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. As for the software, the upcoming flagships will surely run on latest Android 8.0 Oreo and EMUI interface.

Huawei Triple Camera Setup

The upcoming three P-series smartphones will have three rear-mounted cameras each with a 40MP resolution and 5X hybrid Zoom. Furthermore, the Huawei P20 Pro can have its own face ID technology which is 10 times more accurate than Apple’s Face ID. The Huawei’s face ID captures 300,000 more data points than Apple Face ID. Apart from this, it even features advanced animated emojis.

If this is to be true, then Huawei is mainly concentrating on photography. Considering the camera quality on Huawei Mate series, it is fascinating to see how Huawei will manage triple cameras in the next flagship.

As of now, Huawei did not specify any specific launch of the P-series smartphones. But reports claim that the Chinese company is planning to unveil these three smartphones on the very first day of MWC 2018.
