Huawei Unveils World’s First FullView Touchscreen Notebook and MediaPad M5 Tablet

The Mobile World Congress is the best place to launch the innovative gadgets. Huawei is trying to take advantage of this show and just launched two interesting products- MateBook X Pro and MediaPad M5 tablet. The MateBook X Pro features the world’s first full view 13.9-inches touchscreen while the MediaPad M5 tablet offers the screen resolution of 2560 X 1600 pixels. Furthermore, the M5 tablets will be available in two different sizes. The Chinese company claims that these devices sport a clear display with powerful hardware and software advances.


Huawei MateBook X Pro

Last year at MWC, Huawei introduced the Huawei MateBook X, E and D and these Mate series of Notebooks went really well into the market. Following this trend, the Chinese company now came up with the World’s first FullView touchscreen notebook. It features 13.9-inches 3K display with a 91% screen to body ratio, 3200 X 2000 screen resolution, and 260ppi pixel density. The unibody metal design of the MateBook X Pro has a Corning Gorilla glass protection. Under the hood, the Notebook is given an 8th gen i7 processor and runs on Windows 10 platform. Furthermore, this is the first Notebook to feature a camera that is integrated into the keyboard.


The Matebook X Pro is given a larger battery that promises better battery experience than ever. It also comes in with a fast charger that can render 6 hours of battery with just 30 minutes of charging. For better security, the device is given an integrated fingerprint sensor. It takes 7.8 seconds to log in to the Notebook. The Huawei MateBook X Pro in Dubai is further equipped with a spill-proof keyboard that protects from accidental damage. As for the connectivity options, the Notebook holds two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, and a headphone jack. This innovative Notebook is likely to hit different markets in the second quarter of 2018. It may be available in two attractive shades – Space Grey and Mystic Silver.

Huawei MediaPad M5 Tablet

Alongside the Huawei MateBook X Pro, Huawei also introduced the Huawei MediaPad M5 tablet in two sizes- 10.8-inches and 8.4-inches. Almost all the specs are similar for both the tablets. They include 2560 X 1600 display resolution, Kirin 960 Quad-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage. They boast the same metal unibody design with a curved edge 2.5D glass protection and EMUI 8.0 interface.

The Huawei MediaPad M5 in Dubai features the standard 8MP front sensor and 13MP rear camera. Just like the Mateboo X Pro, the MediaPad M5 is equipped with a Quad-speaker system for a better audio experience. For the 8.4-inch model, Huawei gave a 5100mAh battery and for 10.8-inch there is a 7500mAh battery. Both the models are augmented with Quick charge support that can charge the device in just 1.5 hours for a complete day usage.


The Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro ships in with a M-Pen support that allows the user to use the tablet with an ease. Furthermore, the 10.8-inch model features a ‘Pogo Pins” that allows you to connect to external keyboard thus enhancing productivity. The MediaPad M5 series tablet may start shipping in March 2018. With the better build quality and screen, the Mediapad M5 tablet is ought to be the best choice for all those Android tablet admirers.
