iPhone 8 vs Note 8

The most awaited and highly anticipated phones this year are by two of the worlds leading smartphone manufacturers, and rivals. Both Samsung and Apple phones are expected to be released in the year 2017. The models are notably Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the iPhone 8.

Note Series being the cash-cow and top of the line series by Samsung caused a lot of damage to the company last year as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was faced with a manufacturing defect that caused it to heat up and eventually burn. Samsung had to recall all the phones distributed globally, and faced heavy losses. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 last year faced a critical reception on its launch. The removal of the audio jack was not appreciated by the general public, and a decline was observed in the iPhone 7 sales. The two smartphone manufacturing giants are now set to release the latest versions of their top-of-the-line models.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to come up with some unique features to recover the damage caused by its predecessor, thus retaining their customers and their trust. Samsung has been working hard to make this release a hit. So without any doubt, this Note series will be one of the best Android-based smartphones, and is definitely most awaited in 2017. On the other hand, it is reportedly known that the iPhone 8 by Apple will also be the most significant iPhone launched by Apple, after Steve Jobs’ demise.

Samsung phones have always been bigger in specifications and dimensions. Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature the powerful Snapdragon processor, with either 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. According to the expectations, the flagship series newest model will have a 4K display this time. Since the Note features a stylus, it is also expected to feature one with an integrated speaker in the 8 series.

On the other hand, the iPhone 8 is expected to house an Apple A11 Chipset with 3GB of RAM, and will be launched in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB variants of internal storage. The display is also likely to feature a Super AMOLED Display.

Like every time, Samsung has been, and is expected, to have bigger raw specifications, but when it comes to the actual performance, both devices would give each other a tough competition.

When it comes to design, the iPhone has always been the leader. iPhones have always been beautifully crafted, with their uni-body, sleek, and lightweight aluminium cases. The legacy is expected to be continued, but with some minor changes in the design of the iPhone 8. The camera bump is expected to be dissolved with a straight finish, unlike its predecessor. And in terms of the Note 8, it is expected to continue with its dual-edge feature, but more robust this time around.

There are rumours from some reliable sources that the iPhone 8 will also feature wireless charging, which would allow the device to charge from a distance.
