iPhone X, More Demand & Less Supply: KGI report

Just a wait for few more days and the splendid iPhone X will be there in your hands. But it is said that the iPhone X will be in limited quantities because of supply restraints. Security expert Ming-Chi Kuo said only 2-3 million units will be available for sale before the launch.

KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo explained the reason behind the less supply of the flagship device. He said there are various factors responsible for the shortage of the smartphone which includes circuit boards, wide-angle camera, and the depth-sensing infrared dot projector.

He further added that the Cupertino Company are facing issues in their work due to the supply restriction and the making of 3D sensor. According to a source, the bendable printed circuit board for the antenna system is the main drawback for the iPhone X production.

The security expert added that Apple has contacted a new supplier for the production of the antenna boards for the initial months. After the flexible antenna system, the 2nd problem is the wide-angle camera. The giant company is using a new PCBs for the wide angle lens and telephoto lens for which the dealers are facing problem producing them in bulk quantities.

The iPhone X has undergone a major change as compared to the previous iPhones. The home button has been removed, complete glass body, the phone unlocks by the Face ID. People who had pre-ordered iPhone X will be getting their handsets from October 27 and from November 3 the flagship devices will be hit the shelves.
