While LG is still in plans to release LG G7 ThinQ in 2018, rumors already started to float around the LG V30 successor. Renders suggest the name of the successor to be LG V40 ThinQ. The popular tipster, Evan Blass claimed that this year we could see another great smartphone in the V-series that is in works with the codename ‘Storm’. In 2017, the South Korean firm introduced an upgraded variant of LG V30 which is LG V30S ThinQ with AI capabilities. Accordingly, the recent leaks suggest the alleged device to be the incremental upgrade of LG V30 which is expected to launch in early summer.
LG V40 ThinQ Release Date
LG is about to launch the new LG G7 ThinQ on May 2 event. Shortly after that, it is tipped to release LG V35 ThinQ. Later it may release the LG V40 ThinQ and this would probably take several months. Surprisingly, Evan Blass states that LG V40 ThinQ may appear later this summer or early fall. So, there are chances that the alleged handset could make its appearance sometime in this year. However, it is quite weird to learn that the South Korean firm is releasing three phones in the V-series this year.
LG V40 ThinQ Rumors, and Specifications
The LG G7 ThinQ was suspected to launch before MWC 2018 with the Snapdragon 845 SoC as in Samsung Galaxy S9. Unfortunately, LG changed its plans and preferred to introduce the handset later. It is likely to make its appearance in the next month. And, the LG V40 may appear after the LG G7 ThinQ release date UAE. Now, we don't have any official information about the LG V40 ThinQ specifications. But, there are a lot of rumors about the LG G7 and LG V35 that help us to get some idea of what the LG V40 flagship could bring us. Basically, the upcoming LG devices are rumored to get an iPhone X notch with tiny bezels around.
The rear end houses a vertically aligned dual camera setup. There is a chance that one of the LG devices may ship in with in-display fingerprint scanner.
