Motorola Moto G5 Review

You just can't thank enough Motorola for this cheap handset which runs on the latest Android operating system accompanied by a fingerprint sensor. And also comes with two storage variants which can be increased further increased by an SD card and has got two options of RAM too. Moto G series are popular for their budget phones which are stacked with superior specs.


The IPS LCD touchscreen measures 5 inches with 1080 x 1920 pixels, secured by a scratch-resistant glass. The aluminum and metallic bodied handset render sharp, clear and vibrant pictures which are appropriate for watching movies or videos or even playing games.


Operating System and Processor:

The Moto G5 runs on the very new Android 7.0 (Nougat) and is chipped by Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430. The smartphone is handled by Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53. The software provides enough power to the phone which lets you smoothly browse the internet or toggle between the tabs.


RAM and Storage:

Moto G5 is available in two storage variants. The elder sibling runs on 3GB RAM and offers an internal storage of 32GB. And the younger one holds a 2GB RAM and has an internal storage of 16GB. Both the storage capacities can be upgraded up to 256GB with the help of an SD card.





A 13MP snapper houses at the rear end of the handset with an aperture of f/2.0 accompanied by a LED flash. And the front-facing camera nestles a 5MP camera with f2.2 aperture. The primary camera captures remarkable photos in bright light but doesn't perform up to the mark in low light conditions.

A 2800mAh removable Li-Ion battery powers the Moto G5. It also consists of an option of fast battery charging which completes the charging within few minutes than the standard charging of hours. The 2800mAh is enough for quite some hours, however, regular charging is needed.  


Moto G5 is available in a bevy of three colors- Lunar Grey, Fine Gold, and Sapphire Blue.


As we have mentioned earlier that Motorola Moto G5 is an economical phone with great specifications. As compared to its predecessor Moto G4, Moto G5 is an improvised version especially in terms of battery and performance.
