As already mentioned before, HMD Global will soon work on Android 8.0 update on the remaining flagships. Sticking on to those words, Nokia is now planning for Oreo beta builds on Nokia 5 and Nokia 6.
After the successful Android 8.0 update on Nokia 8, its main focus is on the two main mid-range handsets Nokia 5 and Nokia 6.
According to HMD CPO, Juho Sarvikas, duo (Nokia 5 and 6) will join the Android Oreo version sooner. It is expected that these handsets may receive an update by end of 2017.
The update may carry all major Andriod 8.0 Oreo features like Autofill framework, notification dots, PIP mode and faster boot times.
However, Nokia users have an option to try beta version before it kicks off. Enroll in beta to get live experience on update rolling out sooner.
HMD Global was at its best in providing timely platform updates. We expect that the same perfection and timeliness continues for the further updates.
