The highly-anticipated smartphone of 2017, Nokia 9, is in the making but has proven its awesomeness already. HMD Global's premium flagship phone is touted to be the best Nokia Android device ever manufactured under the iconic brand and it is turning out to be true! We had previously elaborated the quintessential features to be imbibed in the handset, which can give a stiff competition to all the other contemporary flagship phones in the industry including Samsung Galaxy S8, OnePlus 5, Xiaomi Mi 6 and the most-awaited Apple iPhone 8.
Now talking about the competition, Nokia 9 has already overtaken the recently launched Samsung flagship, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. As per the latest Geekbench strata, the premium Nokia 9 shows a score of 2255 in the single core and 7770 in the multi-core test as compared to Samsung Galaxy S8's scores of 1,929 in single core and 6,084 in multi-core.
The first benchmark record, which was captured last month, had rendered wonderful results of Nokia 9 in both single core and multi-core tests. Nokia 9 had secured a 1907 single-core score and 6081 multi-core score in the test compared to Samsung Galaxy S8's score, which was stalled at 1916 in single core and 6011 in multi-core tests. Though there was a minor difference in the single core results, a remarkable variance was seen in the multi-core scores between the two top brands. However, the latest update clearly shows that HMD Global's exclusive product has surpassed the scores of Samsung's most popular 2017 flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. This proves that Nokia 9 will serve rocket-speed processing, leaving behind all the other smartphones. We definitely can't wait to experience this super phone!
Meanwhile, the Geekbench list also displays some of the key specifications of HMD Global's flagship phone. Based on the data, Nokia 9 will house the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. It will be packed with a massive 6GB of RAM and for faster processing of applications and 64 GB internal storage. In terms of looks, the handset will come in a 5.3 inches QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, framed in a metallic or ceramic body finish at the rear. Talking about the camera, the premium device will don a vertical dual-rear camera setup of a 13MP sensor with laser LED flash and auto-focus option. Though there isn't any clear picture about the front side of the device, the front camera is likely to be rooted with a 12MP lens. As predicted before, Nokia 9 will have thin bezels, giving it an elegant look. The other external parts found in the pictures show a USB Type C connectivity and 3.5 mm headphone jack. The expected prominent features to be found in the handset are Iris scanner, fingerprint sensor, Nokia OZO audio and a 3,800 mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 fast charging option.
Besides the distinct flagship, HMD Global will also unveil two other high-end smartphones, dubbed as Nokia 7 and Nokia 8. Earlier in the year, the Finnish mobile phone maker had launched its initial bunch of Nokia Android devices including Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and the remodeled Nokia 3310.
Official sources reveal that the premium Nokia 9 launch date in Dubai could be between August to September. Nokia 9 price in Dubai UAE is expected to be 2571 AED.
