While talking about the high-end flagship phones of 2017, OnePlus 5 can never get a miss. Moreover, the Chinese conglomerate ensures to spice up every single news about their upcoming device by teasing us with the updates. OnePlus 5 has been amidst a pool of speculations ever since news about its inception broke the internet. The rumors first began about the name of the handset, which was initially thought to be OnePlus 4 following its predecessor OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. But the company later established that the upcoming flagship phone will have OnePlus 5 moniker, going by the bad omen associated with the digit 4 in Chinese culture. After the name of the handset was confirmed, rumors about its specifications started to pour in. While we have already discussed the rumored features of the device in our blog, the latest update affirms a key attribute.

As per the recent information, OnePlus 5 is confirmed to house Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. This was established by the company's CEO Pete Lau. The giant mobile manufacturer has been teasing us by slowly unwrapping single detail about the handset each time. However, this piece of news might not come as a surprise as we already had an idea about it beforehand.

OnePlus 5 is touted to be one of the most-awaited flagship smartphones of the year and can give solid competition to its top counterparts including Samsung Galaxy S8, Apple iPhone 8, Nokia 9 and others.

The highly anticipated handset is packed with top-notch features, which could make it standout from the rest of the bunch.  In terms of looks, the phone has an excellent construction quality and brilliant display.

OnePlus 5 will don a wide 5.5 inches full HD display with diminished bezels in a metallic finish body. It is likely to give up the 1080 x 1920 (FHD) board and bounce to a 1440 x 2560 pixels screen. The rear has a dual-camera setup with the branding just below it. There is no fingerprint sensor on the back, which indicates that the scanner will be embedded underneath the display at the front. The Iris scanner feature seems to lack in the OnePlus device. As it has been confirmed, OnePlus 5 will be powered by Octa-core (4x2.35 GHz Kryo & 4x1.9 GHz Kryo) Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU, which will render powerful processing of the handset. It will run the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is expected to come with a 6GB RAM and 64GB/128/256 GB internal storage. However, as per the latest tip, the 'beasty' device will be equipped with a mammoth 8GB of RAM. There is not expandable memory card slot in the device.

In terms of camera, OnePlus 5 will be outfitted with the dual rear camera setup. Based on the rumors, the rear camera will sport a 23MP sensor with phase detection autofocus and LED flash while the front will be rooted with a 16MP sensor, which will deliver high-quality performance. OnePlus is likely to surpass the camera quality of its counterpart smartphones with the unique dual-lens setup. Along with all these top features, the handset will also be powered with a huge 4,000 mAh battery and fast charging option. However, confusion still persists over whether or not the device will have the 3.5 mm audio jack. OnePlus 5 could sport the water/dust resistance, wireless charging and USB Type-C port features as well.

The gorgeous phone is expected to get a summer release and likely to be unveiled in June or July at a slightly upper price tag.
