It is no more a surprise that the highly anticipated upcoming phone by OnePlus will be called OnePlus 5. We had already asserted that the mobile manufacturing giant will be skipping the digit ‘4’ after their previously released OnePlus 3, as the number is apparently considered as a bad omen in the Chinese culture.
Now the latest update about the premium handset has floored the internet. Interestingly, this update comes in the form of a leaked image of the device. Yes, you heard it right. We finally get a glimpse of the upcoming OnePlus 5, but only of the rear end.
We were earlier tipped that OnePlus 5 will be equipped with high-end features and could claim the ‘flagship killer’ tag of the year.
From the first look of the leaked image, it is found that the handset is most likely to retain the ‘metallic body’ finish look from its predecessor OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The device appears in black hue.
The image also renders that the smartphone is likely to be equipped with a dual lens camera setup. Based on the rumors, the rear camera will sport a 23MP sensor while the front will be rooted with a 16MP sensor, which will deliver high-quality performance.
Earlier it was speculated that the premium device will have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. But the fingerprint scanner seems to be missing at the back, indicating that it might have been place underneath the display.
Talking about the specifications, OnePlus is expected to launch their flagship handset with a mammoth 8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage variants. OnePlus 3 was the first smartphone of the Chinese conglomerate to have a 6GB RAM.
The lead mobile will don a 5.5 inch full HD display with diminished bezels in line like a large portion of 2017's top of the line handsets. It is normal that the organization will, at last, make the bounce to a 1440 x 2560 pixel screen. It would be the first OnePlus handset not to be outfitted with a 1080 x 1920 (FHD) board.
It is further speculated that OnePlus 5 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, which is built using 10nm manufacturing process. Many popular mobile brands including Samsung’s latest handsets Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus were also powered by the same processor.
Sources also revealed that the handset will run the upgraded Android 7.0 Nougat and include a 3000 MaH battery, USB Type-C port, wireless charging and fast charging.
