In the last few months the smartphone industry launched some great handsets from the top giant brands- Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, OnePlus, Huawei and many more.
Today we have brought you a detailed comparison among three scintillating handsets- OnePlus 5T, Galaxy S8 Plus and the iPhone 8 Plus. All the three devices are shipped with the top class features which are competing against each other to rule the market.
The OnePlus 5 is just launched a few days ago comprises an aluminum body with curved corners. The fingerprint scanner is placed behind the device just about the OnePlus logo. OnePlus 5T also includes the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Whereas the Galaxy S8 Plus sports a bezel-free, Infinity display with a combination of glass and metallic body. The Touch ID scanner is located behind the smartphone just like OnePlus 5T but it is placed beside the rear camera. The 3.5mm headphone jack is also a part of the Galaxy S8 Plus.
The iPhone 8 Plus has a physical home button which also features the Touch ID sensor in the front unlike OnePlus 5T and the Galaxy S8 Plus. The iPhone 8 Plus is bordered with thick bezels and is made up of glass. And the Cupertino Company has claimed that they have used the toughest glass on their handset. Apple has removed the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Out of OnePlus 5T, Galaxy S8 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus, the Galaxy S8 Plus sports a jumbo size Super AMOLED display of 6.2 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixel. The device is secured by the tough Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Galaxy S8 sports a screen which has got curved sides. And also the phone has got a special feature- Always-On display which lets you check the notifications, time and date without unlocking the smartphone.
The OnePlus 5T flaunts a Full HD AMOLED display of 6 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixel. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and doesn’t support the Mobile HDR.
The iPhone 8 Plus has got the tiniest of the screen which measures only 5.5 inches. The LCD screen offers a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Only the iPhone X sports the OLED display while the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is still stuck on the LCD screen while the companies have moved to OLED screens.
Hardware & Software:
The OnePlus 5T is quite similar to the OnePlus 5. The latest OnePlus phone comes in two storage variants- 6GB RAM with an internal storage capacity of 64GB and the other one has got a huge RAM of 8GB with 128GB of internal storage capacity. In OnePlus phones, one cannot expand the internal storage due to the unavailability of micro SD card.
The OnePlus 5T operates on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and is chipped by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The latest handset runs on a 3300 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery and also supports the Dash Charge technology which quickly charges the device from 0 to 100% in just 90 minutes. However, OnePlus 5T doesn’t support the wireless charging technology.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and is paired by a 4GB RAM. The handset offers an internal storage capacity of 64GB which can be boosted to 256GB via microSD card.
The Mobile phone energizes itself by a non-removable battery of 3500mAH and also includes quick charging and wireless charging system. The Galaxy S8 Plus operates on the Android 7.0 Nougat and will be soon upgraded to Android Oreo.
The iPhone 8 Plus is chipped by their latest A11 bionic chipset that is said to be the best till date. And the iPhone 8 Plus is backed with a 3GB RAM and the internal storage capacity comes on two options- 64GB and 256GB.
The Apple smartphone is supported by a 2691 mAh battery. The iPhone 8 Plus runs Apple’s home-made iOS 11 platform.
The camera is also an important segment of a smartphone. And the three phones which we are comparing today comprises a fantastic lens.
The OnePlus 5T cameras have gone through some major changes. It roots dual rear camera of 16MP plus 20MP similarly like its predecessor. The makers have boosted the aperture of the second lens so that it clicks better images in a low-light environment. The front-facing camera holds a 16MP snapper.
The Galaxy S8 Plus has got a standard lens of a 12MP rear camera with an aperture of f/1.7, LED flash, OIS, autofocus and phase detection. The selfie snapper roots an 8MP shooter. The Galaxy S8 Plus doesn’t support the Portrait mode. The front-facing camera comprises of smart Autofocus and has an aperture of f/1.7.
The iPhone 8 Plus comprises a dual rear camera 12MP (wide-angle lens) with f/1.8 aperture plus 12MP (telephoto lens) with f/2.8 aperture. DxOMark has announced the iPhone 8 Plus cameras to be the best among the smartphone shooters. The front camera houses a 7MP lens with an aperture of f/2.2.
The OnePlus 5T and the Galaxy S8 Plus supports the dual SIM system while the iPhone 8 Plus does not. OnePlus 5T has introduced a new feature like the iPhone X that is the face ID which unlocks the device just by looking at it. The Galaxy S8 Plus comprises of the iris scanner which unlocks the phone by detecting the user’s eyes, but it not as accurate as the iPhone X.
The OnePlus 5T is not water and dust proof as the iPhone 8 Plus which has is IP67 certified and the Galaxy S8 Plus which is IP68 certified.
All the three devices are more or less same but differ in the price we cannot rank as the best or the worst one. At last, we leave up to you to select the best handset.
