Oppo Find X Is Officially Released With Amazing Sliding Cameras Setup

The battle of brands is in full swing to bring out the best of the best smartphone for its customers. There are many designs trending in the market, it includes bezel-less smartphone, pop- up camera smartphone, notch free and the upcoming design is a foldable smartphone. All the companies are experimenting and working on the features which are unique and appealing. These all-new trends have built a new curve in the shaping of the smartphone design. The bezels are now out and smartphones are now about more of the screen and display.

As all the brands have somehow released their flagships with updated designs now Oppo has also come up with its flagship Oppo Find X.  The Vivo is the only brand to come up with the idea of pop-up selfie camera with Vivo NEX but Oppo has made it in a completely different look. The hype is now all about the display and screen, for that all the brands are testing to set the camera and speaker somewhere else rather than on the front body. Oppo Find X is announced yesterday in Paris and here are the complete details of the smartphone.

Oppo Find series was last seen with the flagship in 2014. Now this time the company is back by bringing something very exciting and new which has created a big buzz in the market. Oppo Find X rumors and leaks were already discussed but the handset is in the market and it is no doubt much better and extraordinary. The features itself speaks for the worth. The smartphone has come up with the unique camera setting which is a jaw dropper for rivals.

The Oppo Find X has a breathtaking design with the beautiful shiny body. It has a body of Gorilla glass 5 from the front to the back with the aluminum frame around. The body has a glossy look because of glass and the colors are very appealing. The available colors are Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue. Glacier Blue hands-on look give slight purple shades which are really pretty.  The dimensions of the body are 156.7 x 74.2 x 9.6 mm (6.17 x 2.92 x 0.38 in). The weight of the smartphone is 186 g. The weight and body dimensions are slightly less than the Samsung S9 Plus but the screen curvy edgy look and shine make it a duplicate of Samsung S9 Plus. The different in Oppo Find X design is it has a sliding mechanism inserted for camera set up.

The Oppo Find X has AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. The screen is edgy and curvy like Samsung S9 but also has little bezel chin which means bottom has a bit of frame. The look is not only curvy from the front but back as well. The display is 6.42 inches, 101.2 cm2 which is 87.0% screen-to-body ratio. The resolution is 1080 x 2340 pixels.  The screen touch is smooth and quick to respond.

The major added element by Oppo is here in the camera set up. The smartphone at the first sight gives the impression that Oppo might have ditched the cameras and it is a smartphone without camera set up as there is no camera visible not only on the front but on the back as well. But here is the actual sensation, the company has made the Oppo Find X camera into the sliding mechanism. Oppo Find X actually slides outside from the body when the camera icon on the screen is being touched.  The whole extra part of the upper body of smartphone slides out whether the front or back camera is clicked. After the picture is clicked and the camera is turned off the whole upper part of camera section slides back into the body of Oppo Find X and gives it a notch-free and full-screen display look.

This feature of Oppo Find X instantly adds a degree of character and uniqueness in a highly competitive way. This covering and hiding up of the camera is not only a smart design for full-screen display but it also gives protection to the cameras from dust and water.  The Vivo NEX has only the pop-up selfie camera but Oppo Find X has a pop-up tray for its 3 cameras. Further, the front camera is 25-megapixel which is combined with a 3D camera array that can better figure out lighting to more accurately illuminate your face. The back has dual cameras set up one 16-megapixel f/2.0 sensor, the other a 20-megapixel f/2.2 sensor. That gives all the portrait mode photography with AI-powered scene recognition to automatically adjust the settings according to the conditions, with support for 800 different scene types.

3D Face Recognition

Oppo has O-Face Recognition as Find X can project 15,000 infrared dots onto the user’s face, something it’s referring to as “3D Structured Light Technology.” That’s then analyzed to identify the user’s unique facial features. The smartphone has facial unlock and no fingerprint sensor, not on the front neither on the back. It has been claimed by the company that it’s 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition. The same technology is also used in the selfie camera. Oppo selfie camera uses the same 3D Structured Light Technology to map out the nose, eyes, and other facial features, and “personalize the selfie” in the result.

3D Omoji

The 3D facial recognition has also brought up the feature of 3D omoji. It is exactly like iPhone Animoji, the face detection helps to create the customized omoji to the user. The front-facing camera can be used to create an Omoji of duck, penguin, hippo, and other available characters.

8Lamborghini Edition

The latest trend to attach the handset to famous cars, as Huawei has done with the Huawei Mate RS Porsche design, now Oppo has partnered with the Italian luxury car brand Lamborghini to bring the Oppo Find X Lamborghini design. It would be a special edition of the smartphone. This is also expected that it might be fancier and will be featuring some other appealing features which will indirectly increase the cost of this special edition. Lamborghini version of the Oppo Find X will cost around 1,699 Euros, USA $1,966 that is 7,212.79 United Arab Emirates Dirham. The special edition smartphone will have Super VOOC charging, which helps it fast charge its 3,400mAh battery from 0 to 100 percent in just 35 minutes. As far as the design is concerned it has a carbon fiber texture on the rear with the car brand’s logo. Other than that it might also feature 512 GB storage. The other specifications might be same or different, it is not confirmed yet.

Oppo Find X has all of the things could be expected from a premium Android phone. It has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, has 8GB of RAM, and offers up to 256GB of storage. It has a 3,730mAh battery with Oppo’s VOOC fast wired charging which is similar to OnePlus dash charge. The Find X is a dual-SIM capability. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Oppo’s Color OS customizations.
