Now many more UAE citizens will be able to use complimentary Wi-Fi access thanks to Du. This year in June Wi-Fi UAE stated that by the end of 2017 they would expand up to 400 locations.
Here are some places where they have started the complimentary Wi-Fi access- Remal Mall and Jimi Mall in Al Ain, Al Shaab Village Mall in Sharjah, Times Square Centre and Dubai Marina Walk in Dubai, Al Hamra Mall in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah Hospital.
There is two type of internet connectivity- Wi-Fi UAE, free Wi-Fi service, and Wi-Fi UAE Premium. The Wi-Fi UAE Premium is a paid service which provides unlimited download and upload.
Du is shared by Emirates Investment (39.5%), Mubadala Development Company (19.75%) and Emirates Communications (19.5%) and the rest is owned by the public shareholders.
