We have already informed you that the South Korean electronics manufacturer have been working on a foldable smartphone for a couple of years. The foldable smartphone has been named ‘Galaxy X’. However, it is still not final that whether this will be the final official name or will be changed later.
Recently the Samsung’s foldable handset just received a model number SM-G888N0 and also has been spotted on their website. Galaxy X has also been spotted in a filing from the Korean National Radio Research Agency (NRRA), and at the Bluetooth Special Interest Group.
As the Galaxy X is made official by Samsung, we can expect that very soon the foldable smartphone will be unwrapped. It may also be launched in the upcoming year at the CES in January. And along with that, we may also see the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus or maybe after a month or two.
According to sources, Samsung may not release the foldable handset globally and will only concentrate in Korea.
