Sony Xperia XA2 Review: The Affordable phone with improved screen resolution

The Sony Xperia XA2 is one of the affordable mid-range smartphones offering flagship features. It is mainly built on providing higher screen resolution with more power. Well, here we have taken some time to check out the details of the new Sony Xperia XA2, the successor of Xperia XA1.

Sony didn’t prefer changing its design language. It is the same as usual with chunky bezels on the top and bottom of the display. However, you can find some reduced bezels compared to its predecessor. Furthermore, XA2 comes in with rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The ergonomic design makes it fit into your hand perfectly.

The Sony Xperia XA2 holds 5.5-inches full HD IPS LCD display that boasts 1080 pixels resolution. This ensures that you can have a bright, colourful and clear display. The borderless design stretches the screen to the edges this improvising the viewing experience.

OS & Processor

The Sony Xperia XA2 features Qualcomm latest mid-range processor Snapdragon 635 accompanied by 3GB of RAM and expandable 32 GB of internal storage. This goes well with the Android Oreo operating system and ensures smooth performance.

While it is featuring the same 23MP rear camera, but thanks to higher ISO sensitivity that is enhancing the low light performance. For those who love slow motion videos, Xperia XA2 sports attractive 120 FPS for slow motion capture.

With the inclusion of Snapdragon 630 chipset, it can even capture 4k video. The 8MP selfie camera offers much wider 120-degree lens thus squeezing in more faces into the image. It is good to see the mid-range smartphone offering the same conveniences as high-end.

The latest handset Xperia XA 2 gets the power from non-removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery. It is built off the smart charging technology that ensures longer battery life.

It comes in with Qnovo Adaptive charging that monitors the battery health and adjusts the details accordingly. This prevents the battery from fast draining and thus making it healthier. The Quick charger UCH12W charges the phone in just a few minutes. So you can go longer with few minutes of plugging.

Other features

This is a single SIM smartphone accepting Nano-SIM. The Sony Xperia XA2 connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G, NFC and USB Type-C. It houses a fingerprint sensor which is a fast and secure unlock system.
