Though the Sony Xperia XZ2 doesn’t have an attractive design as iPhone X, it offers few features that make it stack up against the popular Apple iPhone X in Dubai. One important thing that Android device take advantage of is in terms of price. Android phones are always available at lower price than iPhones.
On the other end, Apple adds in all those latest features into the premium design handset thus making it a popular choice. However, in this article let us compare the popular iPhone X to the latest Sony Xperia XZ2. Can the design change from the previous flagship model is sufficient enough to take on iPhone X? Let us compare in detail.
Design & Display
Avoiding those straight lines, Sony is all set with the new design that brings in curves to the handset. The front panel has a 3D curved glass while the rear end is given a noticeable bulge. The Apple iPhone X also has the same design with a glass back with a metal frame. Unlike Xperia XZ2 which is curved at the rear, the iPhone X has a flat rear. Both the handsets don't come in with headphone jack.
When compared to its predecessors, the Xperia XZ2 in Dubai features tiny bezels into the 5.7-inches IPS LCD display. The iPhone X sports 5.8-inches OLED screen with a screen resolution of 2436 X 1125 pixels. Though the LCD screen on Xperia XZ2 is bright enough and doesn’t have to suffer burn-in issue, it still considered being disadvantageous than OLED screen which has deeper blacks and wider contrasts.
Processor & performance
Both the devices use the latest platform. Sony runs on Android 8.0 Oreo while the iPhone X is also using the latest software. Under the hood, the Apple’s 10th-anniversary flagship is powered by the A11 bionic chipset. The Sony Xperia XZ2 is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 845 processor. Apple packs only 3GB RAM while the Xperia XZ2 comes in with 4GB of RAM. Moreover, iPhone X ditched the fingerprint scanner and included Face ID. While the Sony device is offering 3D scanning feature but it is not capable of facial recognition.
The iPhone X features a 12MP camera along with a secondary telephoto lens that allows capturing portrait shots and photos with blurred background. On the other hand, the Sony Xperia XZ2 sports 19MP camera but there are no special additions. Both the devices support 4K video recording. But only Sony offers HDR support. Furthermore, Sony supports slo-mo videos at 960fps while iPhone X can do so at 240fps. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth GPS, NFC, 4G and USB Type-C.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 that was launched at MWC event will be available for sales by March 2018. While the iPhone X was in the market since November 2017. The Sony Xperia XZ2 price in Dubai is not yet revealed. But it may carry the similar price tag as Xperia XZ1. On the other end, the iPhone X price in Dubai is almost twice the price of XZ1.
