Almost all the tech giants have their own plans introducing new and innovative technology into the market. Here, let us take a tour of few top smartphones in Dubai that will show off in 2018.
- Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
The South Korean giant is all set to reveal its exciting Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphone in the market. It is likely to reveal the product on February 25 at MWC event in Barcelona. The Samsung Galaxy S9 in Dubai may feature the same design as Galaxy S8 and may have a super speed dual pixel on the camera app.
Rumors also mill around the plus variant of Galaxy S9 which may have few add-in features with a larger size. They would probably run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 chipset. The fingerprint sensor may also take a new place at the rear. The expected Samsung Galaxy S9 Dubai price is around AED 2970. The plus variant may carry a bit higher price tag that the Galaxy S9.
2. OnePlus 6
As with OnePlus 5 that is released in June 2017, OnePlus may release new flagship in the second quarter of 2018. There is a few information about the upcoming flagship OnePlus 6. But it is sure that as with the remaining smartphones, it usually runs on the stock version of Android. This offers impressive performance and adds better value for money.

3. LG G7
Shortly after MWC event, LG is expected to introduce the successor of LG G6. It is speculated that this upcoming flagship will be entirely different from the older version. The LG G6 in Dubai runs on the Snapdragon 821 chipset while the upcoming handset may feature the latest and powerful chip from Qualcomm which is Snapdragon 845.

4. Huawei P20 and P20 Plus
We can have a first glance at the Huawei’s upcoming flagships, the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus after MWC 2018 in Barcelona. These smartphones may sport triple lens of a 40MP rear sensor with a 5X hybrid zoom. It is also expected to feature a 24MP of selfie snapper that makes it ahead of the competition. This could make the device more appealing to the users when compared to its predecessor Huawei P10 in Dubai.
Furthermore, the handset is rumored to feature a Kirin 970 chipset with AI-related features. Apart from different specs, it is speculated to have a new design with minimal bezels and large display screen. Facial recognition is an added feature and is more accurate than iPhone X Face ID.
5. HTC U12
Perhaps, HTC U11 in Dubai is one of the 2017’s flagship that features worst design. This forced the HTC to release the new version HTC U11 plus that boasts minimum bezels with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Now, rumors mill around about the next-generation flagship which is named as HTC U12.
There is very little known about this HTC U12. However, early rumors claim it to have a full-screen display with a dual rear camera setup. In fact, this is the first company to integrate a dual rear camera in its HTC One M8. Few other potential upgrades to its previous versions include a 4K display and wireless charging.
6. Nokia 9
You heard it right! The next flagship from HMD Global is rumored to be Nokia 9. It is said to have a more premium look than its predecessor Nokia 8 in Dubai. The alleged Nokia may have 18:9 display with a metal body.
The Finnish company may opt for the Snapdragon 835 processor, QHD display, and a 13MP dual camera. It may run on the latest version of Android Nougat. Initially, this flagship was rumored to launch in March 2018, but now we might see the new Nokia 9 at MWC 2018 event.
