WhatsApp users are constantly on the rise, thanks to its time to time improvements which makes it user-friendly. And now the Facebook-owned WhatsApp has come up with another exciting feature that is group voice calls. The latest feature is available in the Beta version of Android.
According to a website WaBetaInfo, which closely observes the messenger’s features confirmed about the brand new feature.
“The 2.17.70 iOS update has very hidden references to group calls! Before it was an internal news, now it’s all confirmed.
“There are a lot of hidden references about group voice calls, but there is only one reference to group video calls. So group video calls are partially confirmed at the moment,” WaBetaInfo tweeted on Sunday.
“WhatsApp 2.17.70 sends a request to the server to ask if the user you are calling is in another group call!” WaBetaInfo tweeted.
The popular social media Facebook has already included the feature of group voice call in its messenger. And has started the same in WhatsApp as well.
“Note that these references we found are very strong (but they aren’t visible for you at present) and they have allowed us to understand what WhatsApp is going to add in the application, as we did for WhatsApp for iPad,” it added.
Along with the group call feature, you will get many other updates such as the app’s size will be reduced and if you change your WhatsApp number your friends will get the notification. You can also customize as to whom you want to notify with the changed number.
WhatsApp will also bring in some changes with the groups as well. The group admin will be able to control as to who can make the changes with the group’s name and display picture. Even the “unsend” feature will be soon added in the app.
WABetaInfo stated that WhatsApp is also checking the “Delete for Everyone” feature. The messaging app will also include the feature of money transfer via the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transaction system.
