Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Hands On Review

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a complete package of the best of technology. Mi Max 2 flaunts a large display and so it is also called as ‘phablet'. The smartphone is powered by a gigantic battery, has got a highly durable body and has got fabulous camera lens under its hood.

The price of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 falls under the mid-range category. And the size of the phone is more than a standard smartphone and less than a tab, so it is dubbed as ‘Phablet'.




Display and Design:

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has got a slim and sleek body with a metal finish on the rear which gives a strong look to the handset. The edges of the phone have been curved and rounded which gives you a better grip on the phone.

The Mi Max 2 has a Full HD display of 6.44 inch with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The device is secured by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 which makes the phone scratch resistant.

OS and Processor:

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI and chipped by Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 processor. The smartphone is handled by Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 and managed by Adreno 506.

The processor ensures super smooth performance even during heavy multitasking. The Mi Max 2 works efficiently when toggled among multiple tabs.



RAM and Storage:

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is supported by 4GB RAM and is available in two internal storage variants that are 64GB and 128 GB. The internal storage capacity is boosted up to 256GB by an SD card.

The 4GB RAM lets the Mi Max 2 to work swiftly without the smartphone being hanged.


The main camera roots a 12MP camera with f/2.2 aperture accompanied by dual LED flash. While the front camera holds a 5MP with f/2.0 aperture. During the daytime, the camera lens works pretty well and is capable of capturing the tiniest details.

During dim-light conditions, the camera doesn't fulfill our expectations. The front-facing camera does a fairly well job.
